The University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. To receive CE credit, participants must complete the CE attendance form and the online evaluation of the program (instructions to be emailed). Objectives
- Describe Medicare and compare Original Medicare with Medicare Advantage plans – as they currently exist and how they are changing
- Outline the Medicare Part D 2019 medication benefits and demonstrate how to use the CMS plan finder tool to sort plans
- List local, statewide, and federal resources that can help with Medicare Part D, including the NC Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)

Brief Bio : Gina earned her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy and her master’s degree in public health at UNC-Chapel Hill. She also completed a residency in geriatric pharmacy practice at UNC-CH. She remains as adjunct faculty with both schools. Between degrees, she served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer teaching science in Botswana. |
